Meet Edwin Santana

Edwin met his wife Heather on the first day of college at Maine Maritime Academy. Both were stationed at Quantico, Virginia while enrolled in “the Basic School,“ a tough course that prepares Marine Corps officers for leadership.

Both Edwin and his wife served as Ground Supply Officers, charged with the fiscal and physical accountability of all weapons and equipment, as well as the maintenance and execution of their unit’s budget.

Since leaving active duty, Edwin has been Assistant Project Leader and worked as an Assistant Logistics Director at an electrical engineering and construction company in Northern Virginia.

Edwin has always been active in his community. He has coached youth basketball, served as a Big Brother and was a Chaplain Assistant for Marine Recruits.

Edwin received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Maine Maritime Academy, where he also did ROTC training to become a Marine Officer.

Edwin wants to continue his public service as the next Member of Congress from Virginia’s 1st District – he believes we need stronger leadership to address the real issues our community is facing. From rising health costs, to the lack of job opportunities, to combating climate change, Edwin will continue to serve our country, as he has been his entire career.

Edwin lives in Stafford County with his wife, son, and daughter.
